The medical technology group Brasseler publishes preliminary results for the financial year 2024
Lemgo, 27 March, 2025
The medical technology group Brasseler presents its preliminary results for the financial year 2024. Despite a challenging economic environment, the company was able to achieve a 2 % increase in sales compared to the previous year. This corresponds to net sales of around 233 million euros. While conditions remain challenging due to rising costs and increasing international competition, Brasseler continues to invest strategically and intensify its collaboration with customers and product users.
Komet Medical: Continued dynamic growth
Komet Medical continued its growth trend and achieved a growth in sales of around 9 % in 2024. Under this brand, Brasseler acts as one of the leading contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMO) for surgical instruments and products used in general bone surgery (ENT/neuro surgery/orthopedics/traumatology) and dental implantology. On the one hand, the continued positive development is due to growing demand. On the other hand, the strategic positioning is proving effective thanks to an outstanding combination of regulatory expertise, manufacturing excellence and services provided to key medical technology companies.

Brasseler continues to see great potential in Komet Medical. “Komet Medical operates in a dynamically growing market with long-term opportunities. In addition to the renowned high product quality, we owe our success to the significant progress in the digitalization of our production, the forward-looking expansion of our capacities and the international positioning of our sales activities,” says Stephan Köhler, Chairman of the Management Board at Brasseler.
Komet Dental: Stability in a challenging market
The Group’s largest business unit, Komet Dental, was able to match the previous year’s level with a sales growth of around one percent. The market for dental consumables is characterized by market weakness, changes in sales structures and strong competition. At the same time, the situation with regard to material and personnel costs remains tense.
Komet Dental is working systematically to strengthen its competitive position. Several innovative new products for the fields of endodontics and conventional dentistry will be launched in 2025. Of particular note are an endodontic motor developed according to the latest user findings and digital service products that simplify the treatment processes and the workflow at the dental office. An international, state-of-the-art training center was opened in Italy as part of the international Komet Academy. The Komet Academy promotes the further training of and exchange of knowledge between dentists and dental technicians on site and via digital formats. In the UK, Komet’s new sales company strengthens its market presence and offers direct customer support and advice through additional customer consultants and a new web store.
“Our aim is to further strengthen the proximity to our customers in our focus markets with our retail partners and our own sales structures. We see a great demand for further training in dentistry and will position ourselves accordingly as a partner in this area with our Komet Academy,” explains Mr. Köhler.
Targeted investments for long-term competitiveness
To enable the Group’s long-term growth, Brasseler is investing in the company site in Lemgo and in the expansion of its digital and international sales structures. A new production hall was completed in Lemgo in summer 2024. In addition, a modern training and further education center was built, which enables the targeted promotion of skilled workers.
In 2024, Brasseler once again focused on growth by creating new jobs: Around 50 new employees were hired last year.
Outlook
Brasseler is one of the TOP 50 medical technology companies in Germany.* The industry continues to offer attractive growth opportunities. The family-owned company Brasseler is continuing its long-term growth strategy and looks to the coming years with optimism despite the challenging economic and geopolitical environment.
“Our aim is to secure sustainable growth and further expand our position as a reliable, international partner in medical technology,” emphasizes Mr. Köhler.
