Lemgo, 19 August, 2024

Brasseler welcomed 20 new trainees to its Lemgo site. On August 1st, 13 apprentices in the industrial-technical sector, 6 trainees in the administrative section and 1 student following a work-study program started their careers.

The journey at Brasseler begins with a “Welcome Week”
At the start of their training, the new trainees had numerous opportunities to get to know each other and build a strong network. Company tours and presentations held by the specialist departments gave them valuable insights into Brasseler’s corporate culture and focus areas. Team activities such as geocaching around Lemgo strengthened cohesion among the trainees.

“Training young people is a high priority for us as a family business. We are delighted that many motivated trainees are starting their careers at Brasseler again this year and wish them every success,” emphasizes Björn Hartmann, Head of Human Resources at Brasseler.

Vocational training at Brasseler unites tradition and innovation
Brasseler looks back on a long tradition as a provider of vocational training. Since the introduction of apprenticeships in 1944, the company has established itself as an important training company. “To date, we have successfully trained around 650 skilled workers, and we have offered employment to almost 100 % of our trainees after they qualified. In addition to specialist knowledge, our practice-oriented training imparts important social and methodological skills that optimally prepare our trainees for their professional careers,” says Mr. Hartmann. “We also actively support our trainees if they wish to take up a degree course following their training in order to further expand their specialist knowledge.”

Brasseler is constantly expanding its vocational training program in line with company requirements. From 2025, the program will include a new apprenticeship as an IT application specialist and a work-study program in applied computer science. “These new vocational training programs reflect our efforts to promote the next generation of specialists and to adapt to current technological developments. A well-founded training program secures our future need for skilled workers and contributes to the success of the company,” says Mr. Hartmann.
